“We Are Leading Law Firm”
Juvenile justice is the area of criminal law applicable to persons not old enough to be held responsible for criminal acts. The age for criminal culpability is set at 18 years. Juvenile law is special law which is governed under Juvenile Justice Act.
We have helped lot of Juveniles who were implicated in false cases due to development of criminal behaviour among children e.g the upbringing environment of the child, economic conditions, lack of education and parental care. An even more astonishing part of this aspect is that the children are being used as tools for the commission of a crime, and this age group includes especially children aged between 6-12 years, as at this point of time, the minds of innocent children can be manipulated in an easier way.
A revamped Juvenile Justice Bill was passed in the Lok Sabha on 7 May 2015. The new bill allow minors in the age group of 16-18 to be tried as adults if they commit heinous crimes. The crime will be examined by the Juvenile Justice Board to ascertain if the crime was committed as a ‘child’ or an ‘adult’. In few of our cases some Juveniles aged between 16-18 were declared adults and their cases were sent to Sessions Court for trial but we have filed successful Appeals against such orders and got remanded back our cases to Juvenile Courts.
